CUPCAKE HAS BEEN ADOPTED

Meet Cupcake. She's as sweet as her name implies.

Cupcake is 2.5 years old. She is a bulldog / pit bull mix, and is a short, roly poly girl that's starting to trim down at our house now that she's no longer being free-fed, has been switched to a better diet, and is getting regular exercise. Cupcake is a short dog and would otherwise be considered a "petite" pit mix if she wasn't overweight. Her body stands at about 1 foot, 9 inches and comes up to my knees (I am 5'1"). Cupcake is housetrained, very calm, quiet, laid-back with dogs, and really only wants to be around her people. She is good with kids and has lived with a cat for most of her life.

Cupcake is probably the most mellow and undemanding dog you'll ever come across. Wherever you are is where she wants to be, but she is never pushy for attention and is never in your face. She likes to stay by your side and is ready to soak in your love whenever you're ready to shower some on her. And that little tail of hers goes wild with happiness whenever you give her attention.

Cupcake is supremely well-behaved. She has spent almost all of her life in foster care, always being overlooked by potential adopters because she isn't a pushy dog, cutting in front of other dogs and demanding to be in the forefront. She's great on leash and great in the car. She rarely barks, doesn't jump on people, takes treats with gentleness, has no aggression towards anything we've seen, and will drop everything to come when you call her. She loves going on walks but is also content to just lounge around the house with you. When I take her offleash on the trail, she stays by my side. When I bring my other dog along with us, she might run off after my dog but will stop, look for me, and then come right back to my side. Cupcake is submissive and extremely good-natured, always putting up with my antics as well as my other dogs'.

Cupcake has been raised with dozens and dozens of dogs her entire life so she's very calm and gets along with other dogs. She's never rowdy with the other dogs but she does enjoy gently wrestling with them occassionally, especially our younger female dog. Cupcake would be good as an only dog but since she's grown up always having several dogs around, she would also be great with another dog companion or two.

Cupcake will make a very low-key, loving and loyal companion for just about any type of family, including those with children or those who are retired. Her temperament is sweet, gentle, and very mellow. Nothing would make her happier than to just be by your side. She has known a lot of love here with us and we hope she finds just as much love in her forever home. Cupcake asks for very little yet will give you her whole heart in return.
