ELLA HAS BEEN ADOPTED

Meet Ella.

We are happy to say that Ella was a companion to a woman who treated her right, and it shows. She is well-behaved, well-socialized, in wonderful shape, and just a very very sweet puppy.

Ella is a 1.5 year old pitbull mix and stands at about one and a half foot high. At about 35 lbs, she's like a little mini pit and is the perfect size if you're looking for a dog big enough to squeeze yet small enough to fit in your arms. She is spayed and is current on her shots. Ella is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows basic obedience. She can sit, lay down, leave it, and is extremely responsive to voice command. She's great on leash and rides well in cars.

Ella is the ultimate in velcro dogs--wherever you are is where she wants to be. And she's the ultimate in lap dogs--she's never more content than when sitting on your lap. When I first picked her up to take her home to foster, she immediately jumped on my lap in the back seat of the car.

Though smaller than both of our dogs, Ella plays great with them. She is a bit timid in the beginning with other dogs, especially because she's so small, so I don't know that Ella is ready for a dog park full of dogs coming at her because that may overwhelm and scare her. But she is dog-friendly. She fits right in with our 2 dogs and it's a riot to watch them play together. Although she can be active, she's not a hyper dog and many times would just rather be with you than joining the other dogs in their play. I remember one time she was with a group of over a dozen dogs. When allowed to run free in open space, all the other dogs immediately rushed off but Ella stayed at my side, looking up at me with a toy in her mouth.

As mentioned, Ella has obviously been treated well yet she is anything but spoiled. She is very responsive to voice correction, not that she needs much. She is trusting, happy, and very good-natured.

Ella is still young enough to have energy in her to play, but she has none of the destructive puppy in her at all. She likes to have a toy in her mouth at almost all times but she doesn't really chew much on them, and she's fine when left alone in the house. Ella is generally mellow and she usually just naps in her crate while I'm on the computer.

Ella has known love her entire life, and it is something she reciprocates many-fold. She is a very endearing little dog and incredibly easy to fall in love with. If her floppy ears and liquid brown eyes don't melt your heart, her boundless loyalty and devotion surely will.
