SCRUFF HAS BEEN ADOPTED.

Scruff McDuff was found as a stray, wandering in the middle of traffic. He was starving, dehydrated, covered in fleas, and filthy. After a couple of baths though, he looked as good as new with a wiry white coat and tan patches.

According to the vet, Scruff is approx 8-10 months old and currently weighs 9 lbs, though he needs to gain a couple of pounds. We are unsure of his exact breed.

Scruff is quite well-behaved and mellow for such a young dog. He is NOT yappy or hyperactive like many dogs his size. He gets along with other dogs, including those much bigger than him, and his tail wags like crazy when he meets another dog. But he's mostly quite content to just be by your side. Scruff would be happy as a lap dog. He rides well in the car, does not mind being carried, and is well-behaved enough to be taken along on errands such as to the post office.

Scruff is tolerant and calm when meeting strangers and is also fine with young children. Scruff seems to be a bit intimidated by men but it doesn't take him long to get over it. He bonds very quickly to his people.

Scruff doesn't seem to know what a leash is so he'll need training on how to walk on a leash. He's in the process of being cratetrained, and he still needs work on housetraining. He does have the tendency to mark so his new family should keep a close eye on him for the first few days until he gets used to all the scents in his new home.

If you're looking for a small dog, playful but is generally mellow and well-behaved, ready and willing to love, Scruff is your little man.

Scruff will be neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on shots prior to adoption.
